Lindsay Longstaffe, CPA, CA

Manager, Accounting Services


Lindsay has been with the firm since 2014. She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Mount Royal University in Calgary in 2007 and was on the Dean’s Honour Roll list. She then went on to obtain her CPA designation in 2013. Her experience includes public practice, with a focus on small business year ends, tax planning and personal tax; other experience includes industry accounting in London, UK.

Lindsay is originally from Kelowna, BC and has recently moved back there with her husband. She is working remotely from home for Stimpson CPA to serve client’s needs. When Lindsay is not working, you can find her either doing something active like a spinning class or playing with her two adorable kittens.


What is your favorite season and why?

  • Summer because I love being out on a boat on Okanagan Lake


If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be.

  • Pizza!


Are you a morning or night person?

  • Definitely a morning person.

Martyn Stimpson, CPA, CGA, LPA



Martyn received his CGA designation in 2003.  He spent many years in finance both in public and large not-for-profit enterprise and has been active in public practice for over a decade. In his spare time Martyn is an avid boater who loves to explore the Gulf Islands with his wife Marilyn.

If you could be any cartoon character, who would you be?

  • SpongeBob


If you could get free airfare, where would you go?

  • Vancouver Island, it’s the best place on the planet.

Julianne Van Dyk, BBA

Staff Accountant


Julianne joined the firm in 2014. She completed her Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting Major in 2016 from Camosun College. She started the Chartered Professional Accountant designation program in October 2017. She does a number of tasks in our office including preparing personal and corporate tax returns, bookkeeping and preparing financial statements.


She was born and raised in Victoria and enjoys everything the island has to offer. In her spare time, she will be found with her boyfriend, Scott, and dog, Luna. She enjoys running, spending time at her family lake cabin in the summer and snowboarding at Mt. Washington in the winter.


What is your favorite holiday?

  • My favorite holiday to date would have to be travelling to Europe. I have had the pleasure of exploring France, Spain and Netherlands. I can’t wait until my next Europe adventure as I look forward to exploring more countries within Europe. If you go to the Netherlands, try a croquette. You won’t be disappointed!


If you could ask your pet a question, what would it be?

  • Since we just got a puppy, I would probably ask her why she insists on chewing on everything except for her chew toys. I would also ask her what her favorite toy is.  


If you had $5 to spend at the dollar store what would you buy?

  • I would purchase party supplies or gift wrapping items. (Have you seen their selection?!) Dollar store has everything to plan a gathering!

Clemmie Home, BBA

Staff Accountant


Clemmie, born and raised in the UK, moved to Canada 10 years ago with her family. She graduated from Camosun College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and is planning to pursue the CPA designation in the fall of 2018. Around the office Clemmie is involved in a variety of tasks, including preparation of personal and corporate tax returns, tax planning, bookkeeping, and assisting with administrative duties. In her spare time, Clemmie enjoys hiking with her fiancé, golfing with friends and spoiling her two cats, Laila and Prince.


If you could be any animal what would it be and why?

  • I would be a cheetah; they usually live in very hot climates which would be perfect for me as I am always cold. They are beautiful, fast and generally don’t have a lot of predators!


Movie at home, or in the theatre?

  • I prefer watching movies at home, being able to curl up on the couch with a blanket.


Shark diving, bungee jumping, or sky diving?

  • I have been bungee jumping a couple times, and after seeing the movie 47 meters down, I would prefer to sky dive.
